200 NL aku preflop push
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
MP 1 was about 50/20 Both coldcallers were about 55/10 BB ($368.88) UTG ($200) UTG+1 ($203) MP1 ($72.02) Hero ($164.15) MP3 ($334.35) CO ($175) Button ($109.28) SB ($225.93) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $7</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $20</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB (poster) calls $19, BB calls $18, MP1 calls $65.02 (All-In), Hero calls $144.15 (All-In) With the pot sweetened i was only afraid of AA or KK but i had AK so the chance wouldnt be too big. The reason i didnt just call was because the two coldcallers were very loose and id be kind of lost if i missed postflop.....Hows my reasoning????? |

Re: 200 NL aku preflop push
I'd raise pot the first time (to $24).
After this I think it's fine. A 50/20 has a lot more hands than aces here, so you want to play and preferably HU with dead money. If the blinds are solid I would be very worried as solid player coldcalling raise + reraise here usually means AK or AA. 55/10 could still have AQ, 77 etc. |
