Default Miami Ink

Has anyone seen this show? I don't have any tattoos myself and can't imagine I ever will, but this show really fascinates me. The 'tattoo artists,' or whatever they call themselves, are really quite talented.

Agreed. Great show with some good personalities. I never really appreciated why people got tattoos before watching this show - never understood how personal they were (save for the 18 year old girls with dolphins on the ankles).

Did you see the tattoo they did of the buddha on that girl's back? Insane.

I don't get this at all. It's just a bunch of unwashed, pretentious emo people who take themselves way too seriously. They all seem to go out of their way to seem deep or something like 16 year olds that never grew up. They don't realize that acting that way doesn't make them seem deep, just retarded.

Are you talking about the clients or the artists?

Artists rofl. Both actually. Not necessarily all of them, but like the owner guy is just a different version of this guy...who also calls himself an "artist".

I think that argument can pretty much be made for all 'artists'. I agree they're not exactly the most stable people, even trying too hard to be 'on the fringe', but some of their tattoos are absolutely sick. You can't really deny their talent.

By the way - who is that? I assume it's a hair/makeup artist, but he looks like a metrosexual version of Jerry O'Connell.

To a lot of people with big pockets he is. That guy banks.

...and on the "artist" part, I dont think it can really be debated otherwise. These guys are very talented artists. They may be a little out there, but that type of group usually is.....regardless of how weird they are their work speaks for itself.

Miami Ink is OK, but I like the show 'Inked' better on A&E. It's about the tattoo shop at the Palms in Vegas. There is more going on than just tattoo crap at the shop.
