I would open push too. I think button has KQ/spades/Q9-89-etc/JT/AJ/etc.

Any other opinions?
I hadn't even considered open pushing to be honest. I see its obvious arguments both for and against. |

I don't see what else you could do other than push. You certainly can't give him a free card, and any bet is going to commit you anyway.
What's your plan instead of pushing? |

I also see this as an obvious push. The K on the turn definatly didn't help villian unless he hit two pair. No one is calling a pot sized bet with a gutshot SD and no one is slow playing KK, JJ, or TT in this situation. The board is too drawy. I put him on KQ, 89, or a couple of high spades. Push and stack him.

Re: AA. 4 to a Flop and We\'ve got Broadways!
There really is no other move than pushing. Checking potentially gives a free card to a straight or a flush draw, and you can beat a large number of hands that call a raise preflop and a PSB on the flop. Villains most likely hand is a pair + draw, since any reasonable hand that calls preflop and pairs the flop also has a draw.
You have only a PSB left in your stack, and underbetting doesn't accomplish anything. Just push. AK,KQ,AJ,AT,QQ are all hands in villain's range that you beat. AQ,KK,JJ,TT,KJ,KT,JT are the hands you have to worry about. Of those KJ,KT,JT are less likely if villain is a good preflop player, since he was first to call your raise. KK,JJ,TT are reasonable reraising hands, so those can be discounted some as well. Villain probably has one of AK-AT or KQ. I hope it wasn't AQ, but if it was you couldn't have not gone broke here. Villain probably has one of AK-AT. Hope it wasn't AQ, but if you pushed into his broadway you still made the right play. |

Re: AA. 4 to a Flop and We\'ve got Broadways!
Interesting how everyone advocates an open push on the turn.
I thought checking would actually be reasonable, because I can't see many hands I beat calling an open push after the preflop and flop play combine with a turn push. In my experience, most players won't take the free card for their draw when it's given to them, so I figured I could C/R AI, or if it gets checked through, re-evaluate the river. |
