Re: Now what? (LC)
[ QUOTE ]
the obvious answer is, $30, one hand, party BJ. if you win, cashout and play a paradise 10/20 cent. [/ QUOTE ] The reason I play poker is because counting above 3 is hard, no way could I play black jack. |

Re: Now what? (LC)
[ QUOTE ]
I've managed to turn my 330BB for .5/1 on party into a 30/BB bank roll. [/ QUOTE ] I did exactly this in my first month of donkey poker (i.e., before I decided to maybe read a book or something). [ QUOTE ] I have the remenants of a deposit I made on Stars for a KOTKP tourney a while back and could move it over there and start over at the lower limits that I'm rolled for and see if I can stand grinding out for nickles and dimes (no offense if that is where you are playing). [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly what I did to remedy the above situation. With the help of bonuses, grew that $29 to my current mid-four-figure roll. There's no dishonor in playing .05/.10 -- I still maintain a tiny balance at UB (where I still have large amounts of never-expiring bonus) that I tend like a garden when 3/6 or 4/8 gets me down. There's surprisingly good poker at that level (I'd argue that $3/6 is more of a donkfest than .05/.10) so you can work on your ABCs. |

Re: Now what? (LC)
Some time ago I ran something like 2.70 into my KOTKP entries using the following method:
-Play NL cash -Never have more than 1/10th of my BR on the table at once -Play a limit such that I can buy in for double the minimum without violating the above rule -If that's not possible, buy in for the minimum at the lowest limit possible The play is so bad that this is what I would do if I ever had to cash out my entire BR for some reason. |

Re: Now what? (LC)
hmmm i have a brilliant idea.. i dont' know how well you are good at NL, (that setence isn't grammatically sound.. screw it, you get the point, i just got back from the gym no typing in correct english for a while)
anyways NL short stack, play your Normal limit grind game except the raise pre-flop is 4x BB + 1 for each limper, push(meaning all in or strong bets) strong hands HU, and they will pay you off, I am letting you on a big secret to easy money so you better listen up, buy in for 20x BB and leave the table at 30x BB rinse and repeat, i've been 8 talbign this the last 2 days ath party .25/.50 and i'm up 12ptBB/100 hands or 170 in less than 3 hrs, money easy as they come, i'd go in to the theory behind this, but that'd be seeling out the new 2p2 book, gl hf hope it goes well, or if you wanna practice i'll play you low stakes HU limiti for the tournye if you want(i hsould be easy money) |

Re: Now what? (LC)
Naw, I'm not on the crypto network at all, but I'm looking for my next bonus to whore up. Hmmmmm...
Also, that NL strategy sounds a lot like the Shadow Method of microNL cash games: open raise 4x or 5x BB against limpers, raise 7x to 10x BB (psb or bigger) UTG, UTG+1, UTG+2 -- AA--TT;AK MP- AA-99 AK, AQ CO,BTN - AA-77 AK-AT, KQ against a raise- push AA--TT;AK against a raise, re-raise- push AA-KK ratio money left to orignal bet: 2:1 -- push 3:1 -- push AA-99, AK and AQ 4:1-- push AA-JJ, AK 5:1-- push AA-QQ, AK FLOP checked to you, move in any time your stack is less than size of pot, move in I did it for about 1k hands. Oh, god it was boring. I could do it again, but I'll need to upgrade one of my monitors to 10-table it. |

Re: Now what? (LC)
BobbyShaftoe and Shadow,
Is there a link to a more extensive discussion of this NL strategy? |
