Guess I don't get it. Would you find it funny if I posted my flopped Quad 8's that got zero action, or would that be pointless as well?

dante - if you seriously don't 'get it' then, yes, if it's anything like the original hand, I would be somewhat curious to see how you played your quad 8's hand.

I often have that exact same problem. I mean, everyone knows that if you hit a flop you must slowplay.

Too bad no one falls for my check/raise attempt on the river when I'm on the button. Ever. Must be some party bug.

I'm just starting to play a little bit of low-stakes no-limit.

Hand from last night on non-party site:

I open from MP with AJs.
One caller (60/10 in just a few hands so far).

Flop
899

I check, he checks.

Turn
K

I bet something. He calls.

River
rag

I Check. He value-checks his 88 and I immediately think of this thread.

The value check. The strongest weapon in the poker player's arsenal.

Listen pal, just because you'll go ape$hit with the second nuts doesn't mean he has to.

Either one of you could have AA, and he'll vomit if he bets and is raised.

This is the funniest hand you have EVER seen? Like EVER? LIke there has never been a funnier hand EVER EVER? What if someone thought they had a flush but they didnt and they pulled a custard pie out of their clown outfit (which they were wearing) and hit themselves in the face with it while someone made a dry cutting remark at their expense, then a dog pushing itself along on a skateboard hit the witty guy right in the crotch? That'd be funny.
