how come no one suggested checking the turn. seems best to me

edit- unless you're instacalling/pushing a checkraise. betting the turn and folding at some point seems like a bad idea

T-God did. It certainly seems like the best standard line. This guy always comes after me for some reason though, not sure why.

Check the turn and call a pot bet on river. There is no reason to play a big pot with this hand after the mistake preflop. As played, I call push on the river. But then again, I'm a spewer.

You're beat on the turn. Calling there is bad because he's probably not paying you off on the river. I'd seriously consider a check behind on the turn because you do have a half-decent draw, but in a hand played like this, I can almost guarantee he has at least an 8 of some kind - probably a naked 8 or flush, hence the CR. Turn is gross but so is a pot bet there, IMO.
