Insurance and HIV???

Joey just called crying. He got a letter in the mail from the Ryan White Foundation that his Free Perscriptions and Medical Benifits will expire at the end of February.

Does anyone know of any (1) Non-profit Organization that cover HIV Medical and Perscription or (2) Can anyone tell me if there is an insurance plan that will cover an HIV+ person that I can buy for him, since I can not put him on mine?

To my knowledge, most insurance will not cover a pre-existing condition. As for the non-profit route, I don't know. Good luck.

Well, Canada has a national health program which has its strengths and weaknesses. Canadians do not have to fear lack of access to medical care for financial reasons. On the other hand, there are the waiting and limitations that seem to accompany national health programs--that is, health care is rationed by availability, not by cost.
