[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Yep, its still entertaining, but not for the reason you think. [/ QUOTE ] In what way? [/ QUOTE ] If you are truly so deluded that you can't see how Madsen will win a minimum of five bracelets a year, then I feel sorry for you. I mean, helloooo? Have you not been keeping track of this year's WSOP? [/ QUOTE ] Yes I have. Very closely. Just wish I could be out there myself. I'm just puzzled as to why people are talking as though is a certain FACT that Madsen WILL win at least 5 bracelets per year. He's clearly an awesome player who's had an amazing start to his WSOP career. But if you are saying it is impossible for him NOT to win at least "5 braclets per year" then it's clear that I am not the one who is deluded my friend. |

Re: Best tournament player of all time
umist: There is a lot of luck in poker. Therefore, nobody is saying he is GUARANTEED to win 5 bracelets per year. People are just using the information they have to figure out what the MOST LIKELY result is. Of course, depending on how he runs, he could easily win over 10 next year or as few as 2 or 3.
Rika: Why are you guys not reading more carefully? This is not best POKER player thread. It is best TOURNAMENT poker player thread. Ivy doesn't really play tournaments, just cash games. Apparently Ivy played one tournament in Monte Carlo for fun, but in general, Phil Ivy does not play any tournaments, he just plays cash games. |

Re: Best tournament player of all time
As a cash game player Phil Ivy plays tournements as well as anybody in the poker world. Jeffery Madsen is a contender, but I don't think the media will propell his image into further stardom. I also think this forum is strongly underatting David "The Dragon" Pham as well. David Williams is further adding evidence to the fact that black people will dominate anything they particapte in.

Re: Best tournament player of all time
suited,
I'm sure someone has posted here the amazing bluff that Madsen pulled with HIS WHOLE BANKROLL on the line. By comparison, Ivy's move is no big deal. |

Re: Best tournament player of all time
What about Johnny Moss?
He was voted best player in the first two WSOPs, inspiring all this who is the best tourney player madness. Would you leave George Washington off of Mt. Rushmore? I think not. He belongs in this poll. |
