how did i play this, 1/2NL

1/2 live. have 500 and QQ under the gun i raise 15 and the button and big blind call. flop comes Qs 5h 9h big blind checks and i bet 20 button calls BB folds. turn comes 10d. i bet 75, button calls and only has 35 left. river comes Kd. i check he bets 35 all in and i call. he shows AJ of hearts and takes the pot with the straight.

Would you guys have played it any differntly?

bet more on the flop but it doesn't matter since he had the nfd - you're ahead and he's getting there no matter what you do this time. also i woulda just moved him in ott after betting more on the flop and as you played it i would push river. just be happy most of the time he won't. this should be in bbv but since you appear to be new to the forums, no there is nothing u colda done.

push the turn since he has only $35 left. It might get him to fold a draw and if he calls hes incorrect in doing so.

you should have bet like $30 on the flop and then pushed the turn.

isnt preflop raise a big large UTG or is this standard in live games?

Button only has 150 or so ?

You bet 20 in a 45 pot into a draw-heavy board with 2 players, that won't do --> you're praying to get drawn out on profitably. Make it at least 40. The rest will easily get in on the turn.
