Default Party chips...

I recently ordered the 100 piece Party chip set with player points and got them today. They say they are 11.5 grams, and I'm sure they are, but to me they seem noticably thinner than other chips I've used and have a flimsy feel.

I could be way off base here because I have no other chips around to compare them to at the moment. Anyone else have these chips and care to give their thoughts?

Aren't Party's chips 13.5g?

No, they are 11.5g. Perhaps this is the problem right here? I thought that 11.5g was standard.

I don't have the PP chips, but I do have a set of 11.5g chips that are not overly thin and are far from flimsy -- doubt that helps other than to point out that it is not the norm for 11.5g chips to be flimsy.

I have 2 sets and am pretty sure that they are 13.5g.

Standard casino weight is between 9-10g. Cheap plastic junk is 11.5g and up. Having said that, Party's chips are better than the usual dice rubbish.

can someone post a photo of these chips? I'm debating getting a set. Not sure why since I've got Skulls out the wazzou at the moment.

If you are referring to Party chips then no, they are 11.5g. Unless they have different chips in the different sets. I only got the 100 chips in the plastic case and I'm absolutely certain that they are 11.5g.

If you've got chips that you like, and you're debating whether to get more chips, and you're not sure why - you should definitely be a member at chiptalk.net!

I've joined at chiptalk. Just feel like asking about the party chips there is similar to the dice or other lower end chips. I wish I would have bought the dayglo set that was sold there. So nice.
