Default 4 month hiatus

I figured this cheese thread would be an appropriate place to post this,so...

After about a 5 month "break" from poker, I open my hotmail to find Party was kind enough to give me a free 40 bucks. So, I'm back playing again AND back reading the forum again. Apparently, I've missed some scandals, but oh well.

Interestingly, after taking that many months off, and after playing about 2k hands, I find my post flop aggression a little lower, but closer to "optimal", my emotions are much less involved, and I can lay down hands much easier. I think I may have also thrown the doom switch off of my trail - at least temporarily.

These SNG's are really fascinating. Bubbled KK<8To, QQ<Q6, in my last set of 5. And then this one to wrap things up.

Final two:

Me: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Him: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Result: I lose somehow to runner runner. How do SNG's not make you go nutso. I'm barely coping.

What stakes you playing? Plays like that can only be found at the higher stakes JK

Yeah, I used to play a lot of tourneys. I don't like the 1-table SNG's much, but I loved the 2&3-table SNG's. The variance is just ridiculous, though.

The thing that always boggles my mind is how often you can lose even when they're playing ridiculously bad.

I'd like to play more heads up SNG's but on Party the rake on them is way too high (10%), it needs to be <= 5%

Hmm.. the whole Monster extra rake thing really sucks, but I'm running at 25 PTBB/100 at 200NL since this promo started, so as long as the tables are this fishy the extra rake is fine with me.

Home Game, were at the dealers choice part.

Ive had a roller coaster night, start the hand with like 35ish, cover both villains (one is short)

Playing follow the Queen 7 stud (Queen and card after are wild.)

The action ends up being a 3 way all in.

The hands

Short Villain- Q333xxx
Me- 99QT(which was wild)xxx
Other villain- AAQQAxx

THat sucked.
