Default West Coast Wagers

This thread will probably die fast but West Coast Wagers mentioned something about an upcoming promotion (I have no information about this) where they intend to give away X-Box 360s so I thought I'd add this for when someone does a fourm search in the future.

A while back WCW offered a free Sony PSP for anyone depositing $300. The promo is over btw. WCW was supposed to get the PSPs sent out to arrive by Christmas but they missed that target by a few weeks. Players DID get their PSPs and I just got mine yesterday (1/19). For this promo, there were no strings attached, players just had to wager 1x their deposit amount before withdrawing (their standard terms, not specific to the promotion).

Sportsbookreview has given WCW a D- rating and recommends avoiding them. I don't know that they're wrong about the sports betting side of WCW since I don't bet on sports, but WCW's poker side of things seemed fine.

They are an ongame network skin (Poker room skin) without a download version yet as far as I could tell. Their support staff were adequate, not particularly good nor particularly bad. Their wagering tracker lagged behind by several hours so I ended up wagering a little over $900, but I cashed out and received my money in about 36 hrs (24-48 hrs is what they promise).

I decided to take a chance and ignore the negative SBR rating mostly because I'm a greedy whore and wanted a PSP with no strings attached (other than the 1x wr). So if you all see a similar promotion and wonder if WCW will honor a deal that seems too good to be true, well, they did it once and they may be worth a shot.

Finally, my purpose for writing this is that since WCW honored their agreement I thought they should get some credit for what they did right in addition to what they've done wrong. Online poker is a competitive business and I'd like to see these folks stick around a while... especially if I can get a free XBox 360 .

Yeah but there was a huge delay with the shipment of most PSP's. They were supposed to come before Christmas and didn't come until 2 weeks afterwards.

They have only hinted at an Xbox 360 promo so I wouldn't count on them if you're in a big hurry for one. And in reference to gocubsco's reply, the delay for mine was closer to 4 weeks and some STILL haven't received one (though they've been emailed tracking info). They seem to be doing them in small batches and I'm not sure how the Canadians are faring on this promo.
