Best Way to Kill
It seems like every casino has different rules for a Kill. IMO the easier the better. There is +EV in low limit players playing higher.
I think all casinos agree that you have to win two pots in a row, but after that it is open. Most that I have played require the second pot be at least $60 or $40. The easiest that I have found is at the ElDorado in Reno. All you have to do is win two pots in a row with a flop. It didn't register how much this effects the game until I racked up $500 in a short time. The players are week tight to begin with at low limits and now with the stakes doubled, you just run them over. What does it take where you play? |

Re: Best Way to Kill
Must win 2 pots in a row. Second must have 5 big bets in it, and I believe that's 5 big bets after the rake.

Re: Best Way to Kill
Every kill pot I've played in Foxwoods, AC, or Vegas has been any scooped pot above X amount.

Re: Best Way to Kill
Standard rule in Vegas:
Holdem: Win 2 pots in a row WITH a flop. Killer posts kill blind on the button and gets last action unless there is a raise in front of him/her. Omaha 8: Scoop pot of 5 big bets is average. 4/8 game, must have 40 in the pot for a scoop. Same rules for killer as Holdem above. |

[/ QUOTE ] Unfortunately east coast kill rules generally follow a pot size requirement, there is no leg up (win the first pot). For example a 10/20 1/2 kill game with a $150 pot size requirement is usually a 15/30 game with an extra blind 70% of the time and 10/20 30% of the time. Of course this is nearly standard for split games and draw games, but for Hold'em the East Coast really should adapt the West Coast rules. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

Re: Best Way to Kill
Ceasar's IN, you have to win two in a row. Second pot has to be ten times the big blind. Stays a kill until the killer loses or wins a pot smaller than ten times the small blind.
Omaha/8 no leg up, just any scooped pot more than ten times the small blind. |

Which games/casinos in AC run kills? [/ QUOTE ] The hi/lo games at Borg and Taj usually have them. The 5/10 O8 (if its running) is a full kill at both places. Not sure about the O8/stud8 games at the Taj anymore (I believe they dropped the kill when it went to 15/30/45) |
