Re: A quick easy KK hand
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Check the flop [/ QUOTE ] Bad advice without history/reads. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree, these are the perfect flops for large overs like KK/AA to check the flop. We are not affraid of overcards landing to beat us as if we had JJ or QQ. We can let him make a 2nd best hand that could also make top pair, something like QJ that pairs up or he will think his paired Ten is good on the turn and bet. Also, this is a place where we should use pot control because getting our stack all in on this board usually will mean we are facing trip 4's. |

Re: A quick easy KK hand
bet the flop for value. nearly every pp is calling, charge FDs, dont let a free A come on the turn, etc.
i'm also betting the river almost always. |

Re: A quick easy KK hand
Gotta bet the river. Bet like 10. If he pushes fold.

Gotta bet the river. Bet like 10. If he pushes fold. [/ QUOTE ] awesome, I did bet 10 on the river. I thought it might be a spot to check the flop, but then I remembered AJo's advice to me in a post about SSNL: people are stupid, people call too much, people bluff too much. I've tried to play a fairly tight game, but remembering those three things for the close ones has helped me I think. |
