Hah, that's pretty funny actually. If he was actually and truly afraid of getting beaten up, then nice fold. If not, nice story.

I think I woulda popped pre-flop up though to about 250 instead of 300.

To my knowledge there are no Mafia run or owned poker rooms in NYC during the time that Strassa has been playing poker. And when was the last time you heard an eastern European accent from someone in the Mafia? Something about this story doesn't add up. I want to believe Strassa, but it seems as if he embellished the story a bit.
