Default B2B network ban on US players

Saw this just today. First I think it was just Eurobet, now a whole network bans US players.

B2B POKER EXCLUDES AMERICAN PLAYERS FROM THE NETWORK
All American players will be excluded from all gaming services provided by B2B Poker. The reason for this is the ambiguous legal situation regarding gambling on the Internet in the US, where authorities have taken legal action against certain gaming companies. The decision will come into force on September 1st 2006. For more information read the press release. >>

BFD, The larger sites/networks live off of US players. Anyone here think Party or Stars is going to do this? What about Full Tilt or Ongame? B2B is mainly European players, is it not?

b2b is mostly Europeans, yes.

note that Eurobet (no longer taking Americans) is on the Ongame network.

it's a relatively easy move for these guys to make, b/c only a small % of their revenue comes from the US.

Party/Stars/Full Tilt/UB/Paradise/OnGame have at least 2/3 (or more) of their revenue from US play...so they can't make this switch nearly as easily.

I'm not sure if it's a big deal or not, but I think it could be a big problem.

Eurobet first, now B2B - I think we have to wonder who is next? Another strange thing, Bodog canceled seminars at the WSOP because of the arrests the previous week.

I think all these sites are looking at what's happening.

This sucks. I play almost exclusively at B2B as I focus mainly on SNGs and MTT, and I like their 200 person or so MTTs with extremely weak fields.

This is how the end of online poker will come about in the US (if it does that is - I sure hope it doesn't) the govt. doesn't have to worry about blocking anyones isp and all that nonsense, all they have to do is arrest a few more operators of online gaming sites and soon more and more sites will simply ban any US based player from playing on their sites.
