Default Do you let this go?

Final 4 in a $200 sit and go. Equal stacks of about 2500 per person.

I have AK unsuited and bet 2x the BB - it has been the price to steal.

The flop comes out 8 10 J - 2 diamonds.

Villan checks, I bet 900 - he calls.

Turn is Kh, I push he calls

He turns over 9d Qd

I could have made a larger bet preflop to take blinds but I thought getting more moeny in the pot would be better.

Thoughts?

#1 Wrong forum...

#2 Raise more preflop...raising with AKo isn't stealing...

#3 You say getting more money in the pot would be better. Why not raise more preflop to get more money into the pot rather then min-raising, then betting a board which youy missed with a ton of draws on the flop...

I would have raised to at least 3-4xBB. I think the continuation bet on the flop is standard. How big was the bet compared to the bet? When you hit your K on the turn and he checks to you I would probably make the same move.

This is so standard it's a bad beat post.

I can't tell exactly, but it looks like you committed half your stack on the flop+pf. That means the only move that makes sense is a push on the turn. This is really really really standard.

1. Don't post results.

2. You don't give us blinds, you should.

3. Raise 3x the BB pf, I don't care if a minraise has been taking down the blinds. You're not stealing with AK.
