Hand 1: raise the flop!

Hand 2: Not so sure I like it all that much. I would 3 bet this coordinated flop and leading the turn. If he had a spade draw or a straight draw, you risk giving him a free card.

When he raises on the river I just call, expecting to see KK.

I do think I misplayed hand 1 that's why I posted it. I thought waiting for the turn to raise would be better, since nobody was folding the flop. I don't know if they had odds to fold the flop or not.

Hand number 2, the river raise told me he may have KK or he may have AK with one of those being the ace or king of spades. Of course he could have had AK of spades but I feel I would have been 3 bet on the turn, in fact I think with any made flush he 3 bets me on the turn. So to me the river raise means AK or KK, do I re-raise here or should I just call? I took the line AK with the A or K of spades as his likely hand.

AsKc AsKd AdKs AcKs are the four combos you are ahead of.

KsKc KsKd KcKd AsKs are the four combos you are behind.

Thus, given a random hand, you are about 50/50 to be ahead or behind. I think I would just call here, because you are only going to get capped by a better hand.

I think the first one is fine, hopefully he has T9 and misplayed the river. I would raise the flop to get the SB out and put more $ in the pot. You aren't guaranteed a bet from BB on the turn. However, given the way you played it, I'm not sure a raise is good because the 9 is a bad card.

In the second hand, I like to just call the raise on the river because I hate to call a cap, and the monotone flop is scary. Looks like KK or the flush more than AK.
