aejones: not to be picky, cause it is a terrible fold, but I don't know if you noticed the board is paired.

I can't figure out whether or not this one is worse than the folded boat from a couple weeks ago that I thought was the worst fold ever.

Whatever, it's close...

Well ok. I'm happy to know I've made the right decision. Here is the actual result of the hand:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($196)
BB ($235.71)
UTG ($156.94)
Hero ($286.12)
CO ($213.29)
Button ($160.95)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $8</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $8, SB (poster) calls $7, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls $6.

Flop: ($34) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $30</font>, Button folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $75</font>, UTG folds, Hero calls $45.

Turn: ($184) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB calls $113 (All-In), Hero calls $113.

River: ($410) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $410

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
SB has 4s 5s (full house, fours full of threes).
Hero has As Ad (two pair, aces and fours).
Outcome: SB wins $410. </font>

This is a hand that you could have gotten away from on the flop if you had a read. With no read, who knows... What everyone is saying is terrible is the combination of calling the flop and folding the turn... not even considering that the turn card helped your hand.

Folding the flop would have been almost if not as bad...

I now know it is almost always ok to go broke in this type of hand. What if I had a TT-QQ and the flush draw?
