Actually if he had 89 spades I think youd have a case. Why couldnt you opt to play the lower straight flush? [/ QUOTE ] Because the card read themselves, and when cards read themselves they don't like to sell themselves short. |

Quick point I don't think was mentioned yet (hate to commit a double mention crime ).
In "aces full beaten by four of a kind (kickers) must play" type jackpots kickers that tie the board usually count as a jackpot. Example: Player A: AJ Player B: QQ Board: A-A-A-5-J This is a jackpot in most LA clubs ~ Rick |

[ QUOTE ] Yes there is. Assuming strict rules of both cards must play in both hands... (JJ)JJ vs (89)JTQ str8 flush. [/ QUOTE ] Nope, the eight doesn't play. It's a king high straight flush. [/ QUOTE ] A hand like this was posted in BBV a couple of months ago, where a 2+2er was one of the two principals in a Party Jackpot hand featuring an (89)TJQ turned straight flush vs. quads, only to have the K of flush appear on the river, killing the jackpot. |

Results:
The floor and supervisor ruled that there was a jackpot with the JJJJ beaten, the loser was awarded 50%. Floor then ruled that the royal was a high hand and worth a spin and a table share, but not the winners share. Winners share was rolled back into the BBJ fund, supervisor was "let go", floor was written up along with the cardroom manager. Aint live poker fun(ny)! |

The normal payout structure is 50% to the beaten hand, 25% to the winning hand, 15% to the table, and 10% to all seated players. [/ QUOTE ] What is the difference between the "table" and the "seated players?" Did the winning player try to claim his fair share after the casino management stepped in and fired the floor supervisor? |

What is the difference between the "table" and the "seated players?" [/ QUOTE ] The "seated players" are all players currently playing in the room. The "table" is just the table's players. |

Oh yeah? So everyone in the room gets a piece? Is that standard?
