Re: Clerks II
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I had never seen Clerks until last night. I got it on On-Demand, and turned it off after 30 minutes. I thought it was pretty tedious, slow, and not funny. [/ QUOTE ] Bad move. I'm trying to remember what parts you would have seen in 30 minutes, but Clerks. is gold. I mean, 37? In a row? is classic. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, I saw that part. it was funny...but one of only 2 or 3 in the half hour I watched. the rest was just...people talking. [/ QUOTE ] Clearly, they should have blown up the slushy machine. And then had a car chase. [/ QUOTE ] yes! or interesting dialogue, that would have been nice [/ QUOTE ] Stop posting in this thread, plz. Thx. I just saw II today and I was very pleasantly surprised. I can't remember seeing a sequel and realizing that it was worthy before the movie was even over. This movie has more "laugh-out-loud" scenes in it. It's less artistic than the first. More about love and laugh-out-loud scenes. "Picklef*cker". lol. Rosario Dawson is fine. Dante has not aged well. Perhaps his scenes should have remained in B&W? He clearly would not be a movie star if not for being friends with K. Smith. Awesome movie! I'm so glad he didn't f*ck up the legacy of Clerks! |

Re: Clerks II
It was alright. Obviously not as good as the original, but better than I thought it would be. It could use some more comedy in the "plot" area, i.e. scenes that are making the plot move along.
Randal in the dance scene had me in tears. |
