Account transfer and affiliate program

If I understand it properly, in order to qualify for sign up bonus the new person you sign under your affiliate must deposit new funds into the new account.
My question is can you the affiliate, transfer funds to the new person and still receive the affiliate percentage?

It depends on the site, but yes this is allowed and considered a new sign-up.
