Re: 25/50 slowplay
Can someone explain to me what I'm missing?
I never understand hands like this. You've slowplayed a big hand, hoping to get action from someone who puts you on a weaker hand. Now, you've gotten that action and you want to fold. I just don't get it. Is it possible we are just overthinking it? Note: I don't play at this level...but that said, I don't understand from a fundamental standpoint how we can slowplay with hopes of someone thinking we are weak, then when someone treats us like we are weak, we give up. It seems like we are just trying to turn our set into a bluff. |

Re: 25/50 slowplay
If you bet this flop and then MP re-raises you, do you think about folding the flop, if so then I think this is an easy fold for you on the turn. I think MP was hoping one of you bet the flop so he can check raise. I think you see QQQ or JJJ alot more here than QJ, 888 is possible as well. I think it is a fold.

It's the combination of the PFR checking the flop and then putting in huge action on the turn that is essentially a blank (unless he has T9/88), his raise early in a 10-handed game, and that this type of player will often have the hand that his line strongly represents (i.e., he is less inclined to mix it up or randomize play). I folded and he didn't show. Full ring is dumb. |
