What if Chris Webber knew they were out of Time Outs?

BURN IN HELL YOU BASTARD.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, I know this one! The Wolverines still lose.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe.

[/ QUOTE ]

Come on, it's not like Webber decided "I'll take a timeout here!" He was trapped, down 2, with 11 seconds left in the game. You're like the guy that blames Bill Buckner or Steve Bartman.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fine, change it to "what if Chris Webber saw Rob Pelinka wide open in the corner for the 3 before he dribbled into the trap?".

Clearly the biggest one is Jordan. Had he won 8 straight, or maybe 9 or 10 if they didn't break up the Bulls after 1998, his legend would be even larger.

[/ QUOTE ]
I've definitely thought about this one, and don't agree that the above would have been the outcome. The Bulls barely beat the Suns in '93 (probably the most they were challenged in their six title years). I've always thought that Jordan would have burned his teammates out at some point and that by taking nearly two full seasons off he was able to come back refreshed, with new purpose and drive.

If he had played continuously I really doubt we would have seen two of the most dominating regular seasons in history ('96 and '97, respectively).

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. He needed the 2 years off. Jordan wasn't hungry in '94 and I honestly think the Rockets would have won that year no matter what. Hakeem was playing on a different level than everyone else.
