5/10 - My sexy gets 3-bet

Villain and I have been going at it this entire session. Blind battles, blind steals, etc. I'm pretty sure he views me as sort of a maniac, as it sure shows in his play. My impression is that he's not that great, but he's not so horrible that he's buddy list material or anything. I don't go for many sexies, as I find that I just miss bets a lot, but I was under the impression that he's the type to auto-bet when checked to without really thinking about what his hand strength is in relationship to mine.

I cap expecting to see worse Js most of the time.

I think you can cap because of the image thing.

I'd cap this. The only hands you are realistically afraid of is AJ and maybe 77 if he is a good player. Any other hands he probably shouldn't be cold calling 2 pre-flop. If he is a bad player on the other hand I could definetely see him with a weaker jack, or a a slowplayed overpair.

You have the 2nd nut trips on this beautiful board and you cant get 5bet. I would cap it and feel ok about it.

hmmm... i aint scurred i dont think even if you happened to lose this one. If you two specifically have gone at it quite a bit on this table I agree with Fiddler and go for the cap; against players who dont view you as manic i think its closer and if theyve played mostly passively against u id just call. He may not view your river check raise as showing as much strength as you expect him to, thinking you wouldnt risk the check through with the jack if hes not overly sophisticated. In the heat of the moment he may be squeezing value out of some weaker hands included those that dont contain a J or boat thinking hes owning you or flat out desperation.

out of curiousity what do you think his cold calling range against your raises in position?

i think its pretty close actually. for him to have a weaker jack he had to just call the flop and turn.

you'll end up seeing 22 pretty often, but i do think it's a cap because he can't 5-bet

I am in the "cap it" camp too. Two things: your image and that he cannot 5-bet you.
