Same with Aliens vs. Alien I'd have to put the sequel in front, but not by much.

bill & ted's bogus journey. not as good as the original, but still an excellent movie. best on screen portrayal of the grim reaper ever.

Once again he asked for UNDERrated sequels

most sequels are horrible, and we all know that, and a few sequels a really really awesome (T2, Aliens, Godfather II, etc.) and everyone know sthat.

The original example of 2010 is a great one for this thread, as it gets no "talk" really but is a solid movie and genrally overlooked/underrated. That's not to say it's "better" than 2001.

Temple of Doom is generally though to be the worst of the Raiders movies, but if it were the only one made, I think it would be more highly praised. It's biggest crime is that it just doesn't exceed the original.
