Yesterday I picked up a 6er of Boulevard Bully Porter (which is niiiiiice) and a 22 oz bottle of Rogue Shakespeare Stout. I'm trying to wait for the weekend for the Rogue, but it looks so tasty.

JB, I believe crushed oyster shells are somehow involved in the brewing process. If you try real hard, you can make out (or make yourself believe) there is a tiny hint of oceany taste somewhere in there. But not really. [/ QUOTE ] I think the name originally came from the fact that they were considered to go well with Oysters - but a few nowadays may have some small amount of real oyster flavor. I'm not a big stout guy though. And I hate oysters. |

I have been buying a lot of Redstripe. Nice smooth flavor, does not fill you up to much and comes in nice bottles.
Really good summer beer. |

double post...
Beer: Moinette Brune Style: Moinette (Ale) Price: $9.70 for a 750ml bottle ![]() Brewed by the world renowned Brasserie Dupont in Belgium comes this magnificent Moinette Ale. At a price of $9.70 for a 750ml, this may not be an 'every day' beer, but rather one to be enjoyed with a great meal, or simply when you feel like spoiling yourself. Here is how it looks out of the glass: ![]() Really a nice amber color. The taste it slightly sweet, with a nutty and caramel taste. It is somewhat dry. It doesn't come out and shock you with an any overely sharp hop taste, but rather is a supremely balanced beer with a noticable herbal bouquet. There is a noticable alcohol taste, but it simply contributes to the well rounded taste this beer shows. IMHO, a perfect example of the highest grade of Belgium brewing. Grade: 5/5 |

Dids, thank you for this thread.
I find Yuengling good enough to be mentioned. Can't get it in GA and my roomate loves it so I stock up when I go outta state. It's much bigger up north. Brewed in PA I believe. |
