The 4/8 game at the shoe is looser than a Vegas prostitute.

I had AA cracked by K4o twice by the same guy in one night.

Maybe that's why the list was literally 23 names long the last time I tried to play there.

What are some decent resturants in Tunica? Anything like Chili's or Bennigans would be acceptable.

There are sorts of places like that about 20 minutes north in Southaven/HL area. As far as in Tunica, its the casinos or nothing.

as mentioned, play just a little while at the Horseshoe room and ask for a buffet comp and you will get it.

The buffet at Horseshoe is pretty tasty much of the time and free isn't a bad price either.

Or you can get a snack-bar comp if you are more in the mood for burger or philly and fries.

There aren't any Chili's type restaurants in the Tunica-casino area. none, zero, zip.

Actually, there's pretty much NOTHING there except for a strip-mall and a couple gas-stations and a Wendy's (which is actually IN one of the gas-stations).

I'm not sure if there's a restaurant in that strip-mall area near the casinos but I don't think so.

For Chili's, O'Charley's and places like that you would have to head north on Highway 61 to Horn Lake/Southaven/Olive Branch area.
From 61 you turn right on Goodman Road (route 302 I believe).

As mentioned, that area is about 20 minutes from the casinos.

I don't get south of the casinos very often so possibly would be something in the actual town of tunica but I'm not sure (the casinos are in Tunica county, but the actual town of Tunica is 15-20 minutes or so to the south I think, the town where all the casinos are is Robinsonville).
But there's definitely plenty of stuff like TGIF, etc on Goodman Road in Horn Lake/Southaven.

Gas is often less expensive on Goodman Rd/302.

I won't be there this week, but my friends and I were out there about a year ago, and we're heading back this Fall for a week or so.

We got some ludicrous rate at the Goldstrike ($20'ish a night) and they comped us every meal, and we played between there and next door: The Horseshoe. Those two places are within easy walking (everything else isn't conducive to drunkenly wandering around on foot) and were the most fun for us.

A decent point.

Mississippi gas is already cheaper. But I think it's a bit pricier on Hwy 61 because of all the casino traffic back and forth from Memphis.

Casinos and cotton fields -- period.

Word

There is nothing but casinos and gas stations until you hit Memphis.

BTW: The steakhouse inside the Horseshoe is truly awesome

They just opened a Sonic. May I suggest the Hot fudge brownie blast? I think I read that the Shoe has a Starbucks opening in it today (July 24th).

Also as far as long lists go just call ahead and they'll put you on it. If you're staying in the Shoe they'll call your room when your name comes up.

There are so many awesome employees at the Shoe. They really make it pretty cool.

If you go there for LLHE I would really suggest 2 things.

1 - Loosen up bigtime.
2 - If you can't handle people calling a 3 bets with 2-3 suited and sucking out on you then do something different. Seems like many people play just to throw chips around down there.
