I wrote an article about these poker tables a few months ago.

What I thought was strangely cool about them is that to look at your cards, you cup your hands over them, sort of like you would with real cards, and the corners of the cards on the screen curl up. When you take your hands away, they go back to being face down. Funky.

I'm sure it will take some getting used to, and there is always something to be said for actually being able to physically handle the chips and cards, but there are definitely a lot of benefits to these tables.

No benefits for dealers, though.

Im sure it was reported about in the zoo a year or so ago.

I'm going on a Carnival cruise in early October. I don't recall the name of the ship, but I hope by the time I go on it, this will be installed.

So long as I can play some form of poker on the cruise, really.

since theres no dealer and no one there to supervise, whats to stop people from telling each other their cards and general collusive like behavior?

i guess soon they will start having tables like these for blackjack, roulette, let it ride and craps. it just seems to me that this takes the "realness" out of poker.
