Rental cars are pretty cheap in Las Vegas and valet parking is FREE (+ tips), self parking is free ..... This is a pretty easy choice if you can afford the car, you can then go out for dinner somewhere decent as well.

and then about 5 seconds later a middle aged guy out off breath ran by chasing the guy yelling to stop the guy.

No wonder he was out of breath. His yelling was wasting too much breath cuz I doubt the pickpocket was going to stop cuz he said so.

haha...it was actually a little surreal. we were on the strip, and we saw this guy sprinting by and thought nothing of it. A few seconds later we see this guy running much slower yelling for someone to stop the guy (except he was so far behind...I doubt anyone up near the pickpocketer could even hear it).

If you want to make the walk, it will be fairly quick and easy. Just use caution like you would walking around in any relatively unknown area.

put cash in ur backpack, tighten your shoes' strings. hold two pieces of brick, one in each hand, use them as weapon if need... run!

I for one am more than happy to give the cabbies a good tip. But when I get in the cab and they start yelling at me because they don't like where I want to go... Then F' them and I am not leaving a tip. The ones who are actually nice and do their job get a good tip from me.
