Re: Harry Demetrieu Escorted Out of tournament??
Andrew Black was vociferious in his complaint also. However, I don't see a huge problem here. Whether it's 10-6-10 or 6-10-10 isn't a real issue. In Harry's case, what I see is a built-up frustration over everything that is happening to our ( meaning the players) WSOP. There is so much going on there that is unjust that tempers are boiling over.

Re: Harry Demetrieu Escorted Out of tournament??
[ QUOTE ]
Considering alot of people on this thread would go back into Burger King and complain if their $4 burger was not made the way they ordered it, I think Demetrieu is far within his rights to air a grievance for the $2K+ product he purchased. Whether or not the grievance is legit enough to rise to the level of a refund, escorting him out is very shady/crappy of the organizers. [/ QUOTE ] Did you not read the thread? If you'd like to contribute, please point out exactly how: 1.) The organizers arbitrarily changed the rules (they did NOT, given the publicized structure of the tournament) 2.) Exactly how they should have better handled a player throwing a fit at a table and refusing to play and demanding a refund. |

Re: Harry Demetrieu Escorted Out of tournament??

[ QUOTE ] Regarding the 101k in chips that was added to the tournament, can't some of the blame be associated with the player who doesn't bother to look at the bag of chips across from him that contains his chips? [/ QUOTE ] I had read his own chips were at another table altogether (albeit the table across from his). I wouldn't expect any player to go searching out other tables looking for his lost chips. [/ QUOTE ] This article was written the day after the incident. According to the reporter, he was the only media person to see this go down, so I'll assume his version of the story is correct. |

the way i understand it the rulse were changed after players were registered and they were never told not even after play began [/ QUOTE ] The rules said that 100 players would advance to the second round. They didn't say how many players each table would hold during the first round. As far as I can tell, the tournament organizers ran the tournament exactly how it was laid out in the runs. |
