I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
MP seemed reasonable.

Re: I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
Why no reraise preflop?
Why no raise flop? You have no idea where you stand calling like this |

Re: I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
Reraise pre, raise the flop. As it is he could have almost anything, his flop raise of a minraise gives no information. He could easily have QJ.

not raising this preflop or flop is extremely weak tight and i would suggest not doing that again

Re: I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
As others have said, you need to raise pf. The way it played out though (passively), I think you have to call this turn.

Re: I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
So you slowplay cowboys to throw him off your scent. Imho, unless the board is scary, you have to call in this spot. Isn't this why you slowplayed with them in the first place?
Edit...you THINK you put yourself in an awkward spot? This is exactly why I don't slowplay big hands like this pf. |

Re: I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
Yeah in retrospect even how I played preflop I could have make it 150-180 to go on the flop and made this hand a lot easier to play.
However with that turn bet it seemed like him pushing the river was going to happen a fair amount of the time, I didn't think he'd try to get it all in with a hand I beat. What are you guys putting a reasonable player on who bets like this? |

Re: I think I put myself in an awkward spot...
i have no problem playing the hand this way preflop and on the flop occasionally, IF AND ONLY IF you make the turn call/raise. This is a bad fold
