I don't want to get into the habit of arbitrarily calling things "gay." I would not say that it necessarily indicates that you like dudes, but it's definitely female. Guys that don't like their skin color should go outside in the summer. If a girl has no interest in you solely because of your skin tone, my guess is she's a stuck up bitch and I want nothing to do with her.

The real question is whether its socially acceptable and if your friends found out, would they flame you forever.. Well that really depends on where you live. I wouldn't mind telling my Canadian friends I go tanning, but would I ever tell my friends in Virginia? Hell no.

I had a month membership to a talling salon one time. i used to have the whitey-mcnotan look. not too good looking. everyday i went to the gym (like3-4 days a week) i would go to the tanning salon after. the lady sold me a tanning lotion too (like 20 bucks). the month membership was like 80.

i probably went about 15 times that month. i started with 10 minute sessions and moved up one minute every session.

i'm not ashamed of doing it. i didn't turn into some dark fake tan looking freak. i turned into a guy with a good color of skin, not a color that makes people say "dude do you just sit in front of your computer all day?"

I know a lot of guys who tan during the winter or before a vacation...I mean we gave them a hard time about it but no one really cared. I personally would never go just I don't care if I am tan or not.
