Favorite Steak Preparations?
I guess the steak snobs will turn their noses up at this one, but if you have a cheaper steak or one that isnt flavorful enough, what types of rubs/marinades do you use?
I like the montreal steak grillmates [censored], and I also will do various marinades usually starting with a basalmic vinaigrette. thoughts? |

I like Lea & Perrins Worchestershire sauce on cheap steaks like steak sandwiches at the bar. I just love the taste of that sauce.

Re: Favorite Steak Preparations?
low & slow for cheaps cuts
best advice I would give in general is to let it sit out and get to almost room temp just before cooking that's what the pros do |

Re: Favorite Steak Preparations?
My go to steak rub is pretty basic.
Fresh ground peppercorns Smoked sea salt Pressed garlic Chopped rosemary from the garden A little olive oil to make it somewhat pasty Easy prep. I pretty much only grill red meat. Charcoal of course. Like mentioned above you should let the meat warm before cooking. |
