Main Event to be broadcasted before preliminary events on ESPN, WHY??

I cant believe they are going to air the preliminary events after the main event. The main event airs on august 22nd, while the preliminary events air in october. What a terrible idea.

It really airs on August 22nd? Doesn't it end only a week before that?

There's less competition during the summer, so why not get the better ratings for the higher profile events.

I think it had something to do with ESPN not wanting the Main Event to compete/interfere with the MLB playoffs/their coverage of the MLB playoffs.

The final table is on August 10, so it's a relatively quick turnaround time.

IDK, but the wsop on tv the past two years has brought in great ratings. im not so sure they want to get the better ratings for the "higher profile events"

Yeah, I noticed that too. Other thing is, does everyone wish they could air the HORSE final table like, TOMORROW? I am drooling all over this [censored] right now, but I don't know how much I'm gonna care come October 24th. Especially if I already know what happens.

The prelim events are pretty boring to watch. They are basically an hour of all ins. I'm hoping ESPN's coverage for the main event is similar to it's 2005 USPC coverage.
