Come on - he just bubbled in the biggest tournament of his life. Of course it hurts.

As, said, I dont know the story about Matt.

If he won a satelite or something in,and he never played this big, I guess hes feeling pretty sick.

Rafael Perry(55,000) and Barry Greenstein(60,000) short stacked.

Break time.

Matthew is a class act. He paid his own way into this on his own winnings. I'll repeat what I posted earlier and note that a friend of his took him out. Normally Matt doesn't really mind bubbling but in his own words, "This one will leave a mark."
Bill Chen writes, "Matt finished 17th in the HORSE for $0. 16th would have paid $137,000. He played really well at the end, having to take a stand in stud with AQJ. Andy Bloch of all people defended with 322 and the deuces held up unimproved."

10k/20k blinds coming up, I don't think they're going to make the R level of this orbit of HORSE.

Since the FT is NL hold-em will they play down to nine or ten (or eleven!) rather than 8?

Can somebody clear up the round-for-round situation? I thought if two people were eliminated in the same round as the bubble bursts, they split the payout.

Cardplayer lists Cuong Do as having been paid 137,280, and Matt Hawrilenko as having busted with $0. But they were both eliminated in the same round.

Is this:

a) me not understanding Round-for-Round?
b) me being wrong and they were eliminated in different rounds?
c) Cardplayer screwing up? (nah - that can't be it...)

thx in advance...

[/ QUOTE ]

When two players are eliminated on the same hand the player that started the hand with more money is placed higher.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure, in H4H that's the case. But here they're using 'Round for Round', not Hand for Hand. Supposed to be that people knocked out in the same round split the money.

There was a good thread in the WSOP forum about how it works, and that a lot of people (Dan N being one of 'em) didn't like it at all...
