Checking behind the river with two pair.
I had absolutely no idea what these idiots had, so I checked the river. Is that ok?

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
I would probably raise PF as well as raise more on the flop and turn.
As played I like the check behind. Your hand is probably good, but you'll be really unhappy to see a C/R here. |

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
Ya hard to figure what these guys have. One maybe tptk, one maybe had a flush draw or open end?

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
multiway on the flop, i definitely like to raise more with 2pair. Im thinking MP is pricing himself for a fd? sd? I'd make it 5 to go at least. IMO, checking behind on river is fine

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
Jake, those were my thoughts exactly.
I prolly raise pf first time around, raise more on flop and turn, and since some gutters may have got there on river, just check behind, unless we are willing to fold to a c/r by BB. |

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
This pot is pretty big (~90BB). Picking it up with a low two pair is reasonable.

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
Unless someone has a set, your hand is good. I'm value-betting this river for about $15, and calling a push. I think that if hero pushes this river he folds out A7/A6, and I think somebody's got that hand. Give them the pot odds to call, because nobody has a hand they're deeply in love with. The only calls you're getting on this river are crying, so you have to offer them a sweet deal to get customers.
If you know that one of these two is a table sheriff, or if you've been caught bluffing recently, then you're better off pushing the river in the hopes that he tries to catch you bluffing. |

Re: Checking behind the river with two pair.
it's a c/r bluff we can't handle not just a c/r.
if we push and are called we're not going to like the results. |
