Would BB go all-in before the preflop raiser had a chance to bet if he was sitting on 2 pair, a set, or an overpair? I doubt it.
To me, this is a classic case of strong bet means weak hand. Add this to the fact that it's the first hand of a $11 speed, and you have to factor in the at least 25% chance he's flat out bluffing. I call this every time. |

I think you have to call this, especially because its the first hand. Crazy PP 11 players like to bust out or double early enough that his range includes plenty of hands you could beat.
PF I put limping before folding, AQ is a good hand at these stakes. You'd be surprised how often you could stack off early against a worse ace. |

The players at PP 11 are just horrible. I suppose this could be 2 pair or a set, but it could also by QJ, QK, KJ or a 4 flush.
I would call. Two players moving all-in in front of me post flop would probably change my mind, but even then I found that at the 11's I would be ahead much of the time. |

OP:
I like a limp pre-flop here. Not my standard line w/ AQ, but after that many limpers it is. You're overcommitting yourself to the pot, imo. |

Preflop - raise less or limp
Postflop - call fast, given how you played it preflop |

Fold this in early levels, keep out of trouble.

Keep out of trouble with AQ by limping, your toppair will be good for someone elses whole stack at this limit way more often than not.

As played I call. You could be up against loads of hands you beat here against a random 11er. Preflop I hate though. Limping is IMO the best option, I hate going bust early with a marginal hand like AQ. Raising might be slightly better if your not too confident in your postflop play. If your going to raise however don't raise soo much. I use the 3xbb + 1 for each limper rule, so in this spot I make it 240 to go if I decide to raise. I think most people on the forum use this rule and it works well for me.

I'm limping here pre-flop. As played, I call -- because in a PP $11, his range is huge and I probably have him beat. And because it's the first hand and just an $11 stake, I can live with it if he somehow has me beat or outdraws me.

We have like 2-3 players per the 3 different ways to play this. I am going to stick with folding pf.
For the people that limp. Do you call the all-in? BTW the guy had a set of 88s and I had a similiar situation like 10 hands later in another game and raised the right amout (no limpers) and the guy called with 22 and flopped a set. He got over 10 percent of my stack after the c-bet at the rag board. What have we learned? I now fold this pf and only play premiums and pairs for a set that will stack the next guy that plays AQ in Level 1. |
