Default Micro\'s Vegas Trip - September 6-11, 2006

It's official. The Micros Trip to Vegas will be September 6-11.

I expanded to the 6th because I remembered that I'm flying in the day before my meeting and because it will give people (ie Jax) who can't stay the wole time an extra day to play.

As Shadow said in the Original Planning Thread we won't need to worry about the details until muh closer to that time, but if you PM me to let me know your in I'll keep a list of who's coming with contact info etc (that way we don't have to exchange cell phone numbers etc in the thread).

Can't wait to see everyone there!

So until then I'll leave you with this:

okay, here's a question. When is the best time to purchase a plane ticket, and what's the cheapest route to go? If I go, I will be flying out from Toronto if that makes any difference.

Buy early - that is always the best. If you can get a cheap flight to CLE from YYZ, try to get a Southwest flight direct from CLE to LAS, usually VERY inexpensive if you buy as soon as dates are released, Southwest usually has a limited number of very low fares ($200 RT) for each of these flights. www.southwest.com
Other than that your cheapest bet is going to be making a couple connections on a minor carrier, check all the related travel sites. You are traveling Wed through Mon I think, so you should get reasonable flight rates. I don't know much about AirCanada, but scan their website for deals.
Finally, if you know anyone that travels a lot, offer to have them get you a flight on frequent flier miles and pay them cash for it, many people never use their miles and they can be easily persuaded to take less what they're worth in cash

alright, I am basically a "for sure." My gf may also be attending (particularly since it is our 6 month anniversary on sept 9th). She is cool, and has promised not to bitch about anything if she comes so that should be fine.

So what is the deal with the hotel rooms? When I book my flight should I be looking into a package deal with a place to stay or are the 2+2ers staying together?

No, don't. You'll get a better deal from a hotel by playing for their poker rate than by signing up for an airline package.

Got my class schedule today!!

Last class gets out at 3:45 on Thursday, so I'll prolly be in Vegas late that night.

Here's my contact info!!

202-456-1414

My secretary might answer, but be sure to mention the secret code word: bomb. It means that 2p2ers are the bomb and she'll immediately transfer you. I get a lot of hecklers and sycophants due to my fame and power, but for 2p2ers I make an exception.

Looks like it's $250 from Charlotte to Vegas.

I looked up first class seats and they're like $1500!!! Is there a trick to getting first class without paying six times the price?

Call the poker room.

And as for ammount of poker, the only one I know off the top of my head is the Wynn. I'm pretty sure there it's 6 hours per day per room. If you split the room 3 ways, you can each play 2 hours and you're good to go. Also, you can go on a binge and accumulate hours for subsequent days.
