15/30 and up players

To attract higher limit players a room must build from the bottom up. That is to get a 15-30 on a regular basis there has to be a smaller game always going to draw players from.

I agree with the bottom up building plan but I think you meant to say they need several smaller games to support one or two bigger games; in the case of the Venetian I guess they are trying to build 9/18's first.

When I was there two weeks ago I loved the atmosphere and comfort of the room (being claustrophobic at the Bellagio). But it seemed to me the promotions (especially this free-roll involving playing lots of hours) primarily attracts locals. Locals tend to be tighter, less action orientated and not a lot of fun for tourists to play with.

IMO Las Vegas strip poker promotions need to be geared to the people who stay in the expensive rooms in the towers. Get these players in the games and the locals will come anyway.

A consistent game. The V does sound like a very nice room but it’s not worth it for me to check out until they get a regular 20/40 game. I can show up to the Wynn any night and know there will be a 15/30 running.
