Never been to Whole Foods so I can't comment on their selection.
For everybody in love with Blue Moon, go try an Allagash White. Three Floyd's Alpha King & Dogfishead 90 Min IPA (90 is better than the 120 & the 60) are very good reccomendations for IPA's, Bell's Two Hearted is my favorite. Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout & Victory Hop Devil are both very good beers that have wide distributions.

Anything by Full Sail, especially the Amber, is delicious!
McTarahen's (sp?) IPA is really good too. These are both oregon microbrews - they have them in socal wholefoods.

As far as IPAs go I don't think you can go wrong with STONE's IPA.
Huge Widmer fan, New Belgium as well. Just buy six different things and see what you like.
