Stay with the fish or move on(LC)
I'm just curious who hangs in there. You're sitting at a table with five huge fish. I mean the worst of the worst. You're just salavating over the menu. Unfortunaltly you are utterly card dead. I mean absolutly nothing. Three hours have past (you are playing other tables)and the best hand you cuaght was A4o. You've blinded off almost two buy ins.
Am I foolish for sticking it out. |

Re: Stay with the fish or move on(LC)
no id sit there all day that [censored] happens just hope ur other less potentially profitable tables are in fact treating you alittle better.
I usually sit with 30bbs and top off when i get down to 10 there have been days one table i ll have to do it like 6 7 8 times just running poor or completely card dead as uve depicted. If everythings going wrong on every table I MIGHT take a break but if its just one table ride it out if the situation is obviously in your favor over time after all just cuz they first 3 hours you were card dead should have no impact on the next 3 right? |

You should leave if you can't play winning poker at the table for any reason.

I've been battling this alot too lately. Has worked best for me to just wait it out as long as the game doesn't change.

You're run of cards included Leader? that is the only thing he's claiming as the reason he's not actually winning at that exact table technically hes supposedly playing theorectically winning poker just not winning over these few hours less than probably 300 hands.

You're run of cards included Leader? [/ QUOTE ] You can't predict future cards. So no. [ QUOTE ] that is the only thing he's claiming as the reason he's not actually winning at that exact table technically [/ QUOTE ] He sounds a little tilty to me. I don't think I've ever had a 300 hand strech of never getting better then A4. I mean JTs is better then A4 lol. I doubt I'd notice even if I did however. I'm not thinking about how I'm running when I play. In fact, I do my best to absucre that info from myself with $$toBB and blinder. [ QUOTE ] hes supposedly playing theorectically winning poker [/ QUOTE ] Is he? The only one that can really determine that is him. If he was, then, of course, he should continue if he likes money. |

Re: Stay with the fish or move on(LC)
I think this is the classic case of the gambler's fallacy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler's_fallacy)... so you are going to leave the table with horrible players, because you expect to get better cards at a different table? I think you should rub your rabbit's foot, and pray to St. Jeronimo, patron saint of cold cards... if that doesn't work, then you should change tables.

Re: Stay with the fish or move on(LC)
Gah this just happened to me tonight. Dropped 2 buy-ins and after 2 hours I finally broke even for the night and decided to call it quits.
