I don't know anything about the oot drama, but I do know my favorite 2+2 thread I ever created was one in microlimits in which Ed, bison, sfer, clarkmeister, and probably some of the others you mention replied. That was cool. Also, thanks for SSHE, Ed.

Malmuth seem like decent guys and are obviously sharp like sunshine, but Ed's contributions seemed to lighten and open the tone of the writing, and SSHE broke the opacity of certain thick parts of previous 2+2 books. How much, if at all, that is a determent to the 2+2 books, I leave to the judgment of the readers. Right now, I hope Ed is relaxing and reading Code of the Woosters , by P. G. Wodehouse.
