I have been playing for a year, reading books and recently really getting into 2+2 reading everything I can... I have been successful at 6Max but got greedy and lost a good amount by moving up too fast. I took a break and have decided to study more and not play until I am ready and feel I will have enough patience to grind out 25NL. I'm a noob here with my posts but I feel have a decent amount of knowledge to do well at 25NL, but is there a big difference if I come back and play 6Max or FR?

You will make more money 6-max. Period... (but you will also lose more)

6max is best. it lets you be looser, explot the stupidity of your opponents, and make money.
FR is fine if all you want to do is set-hunt. it's easier to multi-table, though i've gotten to be okay with 4-tabling 6max, it's a breeze to keep hitting fold in FR. |

thanks for the advice... FR you need to be even more patient and I think 6Max you can take adavntage of more mistakes...am I correct to believe this? (since they could value TPTK more?)

[/ QUOTE ] yeah basically fyi: a lot of people will say to loosen up in 6max, but i wouldn't recommend getting too carried away with it - at least not at 25nl. part of the reason 6max games are juicy is because everyone else loosens up as well, often too much or in the wrong situations. |
