WSOP Starting Day Question
This years WSOP Main Event allows players to choose their own starting date. For each of the four “Day Ones”, play will conclude for that day when only 800 players remain.
My question is: If you knew that Day 1A would have 1400 players in the starting field, but each of the other days would have 2000 players in the starting field, which day would you choose to start on, and why? Starting Chips: 10,000 Minutes per Round: 100 minutes Blind Structure (first 15 rounds): ROUND BLINDS ANTE 1 $25 / $50 2 $50 / $100 3 $100 / $200 4 $100 / $200 $25 5 $150 / $300 $25 6 $200 / $400 $50 7 $250 / $500 $50 8 $300 / $600 $75 9 $400 / $800 $100 10 $500 / $1,000 $200 11 $600 / $1,200 $200 12 $800 / $1,600 $200 13 $1,000 / $2,000 $300 14 $1,200 / $2,400 $300 15 $1,500 / $3,000 $400 |

Re: WSOP Starting Day Question
They allow you to state a preference for a starting day, but presumably they'll start rejecting choices at some point in order to balance each day. There are going to be several hundred internet qualifiers right at the end with several sites running big guarantees and I assume the live sats will generate a fair number of people as well, and that all the "latecomers" will end up filling out whatever days need them.

Re: WSOP Starting Day Question
Per the WSOP, they will NOT be balancing registration.
