Unfortunately, you can't really clear any crypto bonuses at .5/1 anymore; a "raked" pot is now one raked over $1 (ie, total pot over $20 :-p)

[/ QUOTE ]

If it's raked under a dollar, it counts as 1/4 of a raked hand. This is pretty new.

First, I really appreciate the post. You have inspired me to develop a plan to build my bankroll and use bonuses to speed up the process. That said, I'm not so sure InterPoker is the place to start for someone with a $100 bankroll, or anyone who isn't comfortable playing around the $1/$2 level.

I had been consistently kicking the $.50/$1.00 level at other sites, but just hadn't gotten serious about building a roll. When I signed up at InterPoker I decided to stay at that level while I got used to the new site, new players, etc.

It is true, that you can clear your bonus there (assuming you are going for the full $90) in 450 hands, provided the rake on those hands is at least $1.00 which results from a pot of at least $20. When is the last time someone with a roll of $100 saw that more than once in a blue moon?

So, fine. IP is accomodating that - you can receive a quarter of a point when the rake is at least .25 which happens when the pot reaches $5.00. So, someone with a small roll should be expecting 1,800 hands to clear their bonus which is still great. Except that even at the $0.50/$1.00 level, only 1 in 3-4 pots reaches that level. (Sorry, I don't have my PT data with me to provide firmer numbers).

Besides that, plenty of other posts out here recommend that someone with such a small roll play at a much lower level. Personally I don't agree in all cases - at IP the games are pretty soft. I finally stepped up to $1/$2 and am not having any problems breaking even at very least, and have come out 6-8 BB/hr ahead in most sessions. But I do understand the general caution. If I had tried that level back when my bankroll was $100 because I was a newbie I wouldn't have lasted long enough to collect the bonus. And even at $1/$2, there are plenty of pots which don't get big enough to contribute toward clearing your bonus.

So, I guess my thought is that one should take a good look, not just at the size of the bonus, but realistically what it will take for them to clear it playing at their level. IP's bonus is great and I will plan to take advantage of it every month - but it might be best for some to save that one for further on down the line.

Stay away from Interpoker to build a roll early on. The risk of ruin is VERY high plus it will tie up yr roll for 2-3 weeks (you have to wait for then to snailmail you a PIN from the UK, then cashout takes around 3 days or more to hit Neteller). And this is for EACH of the Crypto skins! You might want to look into the casino.net bonus, as you can clear it at a low level. This was a good guidline, Homer's guide, but you now have to kind of cherry pick it. A lot of this info is outdated.

The Cryto bonuses are good if you areleady have a roll of a few thousand -- they yield a lot of growth. Before hitting up Crypto skins you want to wait a while.

Do you have to do the PIN thing every time, or is that a one time deal? That, at least, could be taken care of while you are clearing your bonus. But yeah, I completely agree with you.

One other question: "risk of ruin?" I believe that BonusWhores gives them a pretty good rating.

Risk of ruin refers to the likihood that you will go broke over a certain number of hands, or persiod of time, etc. I think that covers the gist, but if this is innacurrate in any way I'm sure some one will correct me (and please feel free -- I'm all for accuracy!). Playing 1/2 can kill a super small roll, even if you are a winning player. LHE is a pretty high variance game. And now that the bonuses are essentially unclearable under 2/4, it's even worse.

No Crypto is totally, 100% stable and legit. Your money is safe there. I was not implying otherwise. It will just be safely tucked away and inaccessable for 2-3 weeks! That is a big problem for a guy without much money that wants to have some flexibility with his bank roll (however small).

I don't think you can still get a 100 bonus from Paradise, just $50. But it is 100 hands and they release 10 bucks of your bonus...so 500 total.

[/ QUOTE ]

GRANNY bonus still good for $100 (25%).

link is in classifieds and original post.

Does anyone know anything about the 90/90 bonus offered at Interpoker? I played about 480-500 hands and the 90 bucks showed up in my acct, but I can't withdraw it or play with it. Is there a time hold on it, or for some reason did my hands not count? And if my hands didn't count, can I play the rest of them and collect the bonus this month, or is it forever lost and I have to deposit another 90 and play another 450?

Just curious if anyone knows how this all works.

[/ QUOTE ]

Can anyone speak to this? I'm concerned now.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm clearing this bonus also. There is nothing to be concerned about, interpoker is legit, you have to read the fine print.

The 450 raked hands requirement in the original post should have an asterisk next to it. On interpoker's site it says 450 hands where the rake reaches $1. Hands raked between .25 and .99 cents count as a 1/4 of a raked hand.

I'm 25% through the bonus and have played 800 hands of NL $25. The bonus is clearable at this level but will require more than 450 hands, probably around 2k or so.

You can check your progress If you go to the cashier, then the promotions tab, then click bonus you will then see a percentage off to the right, mouse over that percentage and it will load information regarding how many raked hands you've played.

Question...To get the bonus at Interpoker (the first one you refered to) I have to play 450 raked hands (20 pot, 1 buck rake) To achieve this I would have to play in the 2-4 limit hold'em)...how can you do this with a 180 bucks??? Am I reading this correclty? Start with that site first with the 180 bucks and hope you can make the 450 hand rake?? Pleae help?
