40/80 QTo
live 40/80, possibly the most horrendous game ever, very tight, 5 of the past 6 hands have been blinds folding to steals, and there hasn't been a river card in like 15 hands.
a somewhat newer player open limps in MP. i don't really have a read on him, but he seems/looks reasonable and this is only the second hand i've seen him involved in. folded to the sb who also folds. i check in the bb with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] i check. he bets. i call. turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] i bet. he raises. i call. river: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] i bet. EDIT TO ADD: oh and i don't know if this makes a big difference to your decision making or not, but when i bet the turn he seemed to ponder for a moment then slowly cut his chips when he raised.

If you're goign to bet I think you have to call a raise. Nothing I like more then bluffraising river bets I read as "have to call, might as well bet, easy fold to a raise.

I think the ponder on the turn might have turned this into a C/C on the river. Just depends on your read. Not real sure if 40/80 plays a whole lot different from the 15/30-30/60 I play but i think I agree with Goofball on the calldown if you bet.

the old double donk.
i kinda want to put more bets in somewhere but not sure where. we probably lose bets with a bet-3bet on the turn so probably don't like that. maybe a river sexy or are you afraid of him checking behind? I think we can safely fold to a river 3 bet.
