Coke and Lime - people are convinced there is vodka in there. Visibly order vodka coke a couple times, then switch.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think anyone will assume it is vodka.

I´m surprised nobody suggested red wine yet. Two glasses may be enough to cover the evening, as it won´t get stale so fast as other drinks, and it can very well be accompagnied by water.

why do you feel the need to drink to fit in with your peers? i would not be comfortable nor impressed if my associates thought less of me because i didnt drink.

as others have suggested, order one alcoholic drink and finish the night with water or soda.

another option would be to ask the nits if they wanna step outside and burn one.

Drink light beer, or anything out of a bottle. Dont drink beer out of a glass because it goes down to easy. Drink from a stubbie.

Red Wine is dangerous stuff. You can get surprisingly hammered. It goes down like beer, but has roughly twice the alcohol.

Also, there's no hangover as brutal as a red wine hangover.

Get drunk, pass out, make sure someone is videoing the event so you can catch up with the bit you miss later. Avoid hangover by keep drinking until you are sober again.

They did assume it was vodka last night, but then I was acting silly.

OP:

try this drink:

two hicks and a [censored] chasing a turkey down a gold mine. (the censored word is a derogatory word used to describe a hispanic person. Hey, I didn't name the [censored] thing)

(Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Jose Cuervo, Wild Turkey, and Goldschlager.) I drank one one time because this annoying drunk dude we all knew (and yet was cool when sober) wouldn't stop waving it in front of everyone's face. Finally I snatched it out of his hand and chugged it. It tastes like you might expect.

Serious answer time:

drink whatever you want to. This isn't some contest, you don't have to "keep up". If you feel yourself getting buzzed, go ahead and back off for a while.

Bud has about 5% ABV, Bud Light 4.2%, Amstel Light 3.5%. So you are marginally better off drinking light beer, particularly Amstel. but if you usually get drunk on a 6 pack of bud...well you'll just be somewhat less drunk on a 6 pack of Amstel.

you could always alternate between beer and water.

I guess your other alternative is to talk to the bartender at some point and tell him to make you weak drinks all weekend, but that's kind of gay.

I´d say this is true for mixed drinks, but not for a quality red wine...
