Wait, didn't we hear this before? You pledged not to play above a certain limit, and then you hit a small downswing over something like 30 minutes and promptly jumped up levels to make it back.
That's how it went last time, right?

Isn't shortstacking (I'm assuming) 10/20 NL with a ~30k roll playing very underrolled already? I'm not a shortstack NL variance expert, but it seems risky enough to me.

Tie up the bulk of your roll in something rather illiquid: money market, short term bonds, whatever. Something that'll earn you interest while you build the discipline to not need such barriers.
You're obviously talented, but you've been going through the same routine for what seems like years. If the repurcussions of being busto, - or, perhaps more terrifying - the knowledge you've blown through a mid-five figure roll with nothing to show for it aren't incentive enough to do things the way you feel you should, nothing will be. Good luck. Hopefully, you'll get it figured out.
