Default computer problems when using PT and HUD etc

I have a sony vaio from 4 yrs ago, i've upgraded RAM to 1Gb and it had a 2.22GHz Pentium 4. While importing hands in pokertracker it lags horribly and randomly freezes for a few minutes when i use PT and HUD. After importing hand histories sometimes the processer stays maxed out at 100% CPU usage even after i've closed all programs and nothing is running. only restarting my computer brings it back to normal. Any ideas?

Default Re: computer problems when using PT and HUD etc

what worked for me was
1. Make sure all databases are compacted and etc
2. Make sure computer is defragged
3. Make sure you have a good registry cleaner and ect *i like tuneup utilities2006, theres a free demo thats fully functional for 30 days, that should at least get you a good start
4. go into task manager *control alt del* and set priority for PT to "below normal"

Hope that works for you
